Welcome to the CPG
The Community Participation Group (CPG) of the Drumnadrochit Medical Practice aims to:
- (a) to act as a channel of communication between the Practice and the community it serves
- (b) to inform the community about Practice Services
- (c) to consult the community about any changes to these services
- (d) to promote community involvement in health promotion activities.
The CPG was established in February 2002. One of its first tasks was to produce a newsletter outlining some of the changes to the way the Practice works and the services it is able to provide to the community, and to distribute this to every household in the area. Almost 100 people attended a public meeting to discuss these changes and other current issues about the provision of medical services such as NHS 24.
The creation and distribution of the newsletter was part-financed by the Partnership for Rural Inverness and Nairn.
The CPG held its first Annual General Meeting on 18 April 2002. A public Annual General Meeting will he held either in the Spring or Autumn please look for information on this at local display notice boards or local shops.
